Mark The Grave

Disclaimer: Never even met the guy (however, if i did i'm sure this wouldn't happen as much as it would be a major turn on for us both) Rain poured heavily down that day, almost as though someone had tipped a lake on its side. Black clouds flooded the skies, blocking any form of sunrays to come through. The weather seemed almost appropriate for the occasion, but in many people's eyes Ebony wouldn't have wanted it.

Part One

Ebony had grown up in a rich family. Ever since she had been little her parents would be stopped in the streets and complemented them for their luck of having such a natural beauty as their daughter. Joanne and Michael Reynolds expected nothing more than the best up bringing for their daughter. The finest clothes, education and most of all, manners. With curly brown hair that fell around her face in ringlets, her brown eyes could change a no to a yes with a glance. Her olive skin completely blemish free always received complements. No one would say she was spoilt. She had to earn herself her gifts and she expected nothing more. The better her education got the more her parents were proud. By the time she was 18, men had already asked her father for her hand in marriage but Michael had shrugged them off, saying she needed time to make her own mind up

Ebony leaned forward and held onto the dresser for support as the tightening on her chest became harder and tighter.

"Miss Reynolds please breathe in a little more. I don't wish to hurt you" Geraldine, the family servant girl asks, pulling at the ribbons on Ebony's corset. "There" she finally says, helping Ebony to stand up straight. She leads her over towards the mirror that hangs above the mantelpiece. Ebony stares at the deep blue dress that clings to her curves and just touches the floor. Turning round and glancing over her shoulder, Ebony smiles.

"I love it" Geraldine grins

"Suits you perfect miss"

"Thank you Geraldine" she reaches out onto the mantle and picks up a coin before placing it into the girl's hand "don't tell mother" she adds with a smile. .

"I wont. Thank you Miss Reynolds" she curtseys and leaves the room leaving Ebony alone. Sighing she glances around the room before making her way over to the window. Staring down at the street she sees crowd's of people making their way about, trying to get on with their busy lives.
