That's Entertainment By Lil Gee Disclaimer: Don't personally know them, never met, don't work for them, don't sue! *** One Walking through the wood, the leafs crunch under my feet as the thin layer of ice that had smothered it cracks. Rubbing my hands together trying to keep warm I decide it's not helping, causing me to then stuff my hands into my pockets. Piccadilly, my golden Labrador, goes bounding off, shaking her entire body in the process, instead of just her rear end. That's all she is one big wiggle. When I was a teenager I didn't think my life would end up like this. I expected to go out with the small amount of friends I had collected at school, go round town and get drunk. But no, my best friend Lise and myself decided to move to this small remote island-that had broken from somewhere near the LA shore and had drifted off making it's own small island- to try and make a better life, without the cruel comments towards us. My brother Dougie wasn't happy about it. He'd been more of a friend than a brother and seemed really angry at the proposal. He finally let me go at the airport after begging for me to reconsider but by that point Lise and I had already bought the small cottage and couldn't back out now. We'd waved goodbye to England and started talking about what might be out there on that small island, most importantly are there gonna be any guys there worth having a second glance at? Glancing up, I Piccadilly bouncing up at some guy who struggling to keep her from jumping up at him. Shit, I think as I try running but my converse slip and slide everywhere and then notice a big ol' tree trunk with my name on it just dying to trip me up. I quickly jump over it as I come to a skidding finale in front of him. Quickly grabbing her collar I pull Piccadilly away from him, wipe a few strands of hair from my face and glance up at the man who could nearly have been killed by being licked to death. 'Sorry about her, she's just a puppy and gets carried away' finally seeing that she's being held hostage he bends down and strokes behind her ear, her tongue rolls out as though to show her gratitude. He looks up and sees me staring 'sorry' I mutter looking away, feeling a tint of colour rush to my cheeks. 'S'ok' he grins, causing two little dimples to appear. 'Sorry for being so upfront and I hope you don't take this as an offence but you have gorgeous eyes' I find myself saying. His eyes were a dark hazel colour with a ring of light hazel spreading slowly around his pupil. He laughs 'None taken' he says in a cockney sort of accent 'You from England?' 'Yeah I am. Why?' 'I moved here about eight months ago from London, with my friend Lise' I reply. Piccadilly starts pulling on her collar and looking at me as though she's begging to be let go. The guy looks down and then at me 'which way you heading?' he points to the way I've just come 'But I'll walk with you if that's ok?' I feel my stomach flip and do summersaults 'Yeah that great. Thanks' I smile 'I'm Matt' he holds out a hand. I let go of Piccadilly and shake his outstretched hand 'Amy' with that we head off down the icy path 'Well I had a nice time talking to you' Matt runs his tongue over his bottom lip and looks at me 'Yeah me too' I grin broadly 'Well I'll see you around then yeah?' he asks as we leave the wood behind us, Piccadilly happily wagging her tail behind her as she wriggles ahead. 'Yep probably' 'Where do you live then?' 'You know the lane you get to just before heading upto the lighthouse?' 'Yeah' 'The third cottage on tha lane' I reply giving him a smile and walking off leaving him in what I hope might be suspicion and a sense of flirtation.

Lise is sat curled up in the old leather chair next to the fire, a cup of what looks to be apple and blackcurrant fruit juice and the new Harry Potter book sat on her lap. She looks up and smiles a warm smile before she stretches her legs and raises her arms above her head. A black shirt covers her chest with the words 'If I Gave A Shit You Would Be The Person I'd Give It To' hmmm my shirt I'll let it pass and a pair of dark blue jeans occupies her legs. 'So what happened?' she looks at me and puts her bookmark onto the page she's just been reading. I take my hoodie and scarf off and look at her innocently 'What do you mean?' 'Usually it takes you 20 minutes to walk round the wood and get back here, you've been gone for over an hour. So tell me did you do them upside of a tree?' she asks shooting out of the chair and looking at me, her dark green eyes shining with excitement. You could almost hear all the idea's shouting from inside her head 'No' her excitement deflates 'You did. Well why did you spend so long then?' 'I got talking to someone' 'Male or female?' 'What do you think?' 'Well since Trinity has gone on holiday that only leaves Carmen' Lise breaks off, the side of her mouth twitches and she stands there thinking. 'But it couldn't be Carmen' 'And why not?' I raise my eyebrow 'Because she doesn't like the cold and she has a cat' 'How do you know she wouldn't walk her cat?' 'Amy be real. No seriously though who was it?' finally giving in I reply with 'Someone called Matt' 'Ooo tell, tell' her eyes lingered just above my head 'oh shit, actually I have a dinner date, in five minutes! You'll have to tell me all about it later' she quickly runs over to the door, grabbing her jacket and starts to put on her pair of black converse. She runs back over to me, gives me a quick kiss on the cheek and legs it out of the door. Laughing to myself I walk into the kitchen wondering just who she could be having this dinner date with when Piccadilly decides to shake all the access water off her coat and onto me. I just have to turn round, and I'm about to open my mouth to tell her to go to her basket when she bolts off towards the door. I scowl wondering what she's doing, when a knock can be heard echoing through the living room. 'Down girl' I say to Piccadilly before shooing her away. I open the door to find Carmen stood on the doorstep. Waves of golden curls surround her face; her icy blue eyes stand out as she's applied a thin layer of eyeliner upon both the bottom and top lids. A coat of bright red lipstick has been expertly applied on her full lips. She wears a deep violet dress and black pointy stiletto boots that resemble two tooth picks. 'Heya you gonna let a girl in or do you have to wait to see her nipples fall off as an invitation?' she asks sarcastically. Laughing to myself I open the door further and she glides into the warmth. 'Damn it's cold' she rubs her hands together that are now showing a hint of blue on them, her purple veins stand out more than they should through her pale skin. 'You don't say. What the hell are you doing out without a coat on?' 'I wanted to see just how cold it can get I saw and I'm scared' she smiles weakly still shivering before glancing around and then moving to the seat Lise had been seating in just minutes ago. 'Want a cup of tea?' I ask her, she nods and holds out her hands to try and turn them back to their original colour 'Yeah please sweedie. Milk two sugars' she smiles 'So whats brought you round here?' I shout to her over the soft humming of the kettle. 'Erm two things actually. Firstly Rob's kicked me out, secondly I needed some female help and comfort' I carefully walk back into the front room again complete with a kit kat and hand it to her while I place the cup back down again onto the small carved wooden coffee table. 'Ok start from the beginning' I sit back, take a deep breath 'i'm all ears' 'Lise' Kate leans across the table and cups Lise's hands in with her own and looks at her, her eyes slowly filling with what might be described only as lust. 'I know theres been things happening between us. Surely you've noticed? I mean this chemistry is just too strong to go unnoticed. It might just be me, but I need to know' she pauses and looks Lise straight into her eyes, showing no signs of laughter, every emotion drained out of Kate's face except seriousness. 'Do you feel as strong for me as I do you? Maybe it's just lust but I need to know' Lise sits there, her throat becoming tighter as she tries to take in what she's just been told. She looks down at the tablecloth, wanting to twirl it between her fingers as she thinks but Kate's hands are holding her own. She goes to open her mouth to speak but quickly closes it again, carefully thinking her words through that she's about to say. 'Kate' she begins 'you've been my first friend on this island. You were there from the start. On our first meeting you confessed to being a lesbian and I admitted into being bisexual. That's all I've thought about since. It's strange extremely strange because even the other dates I've been on with other woman before nothing has effected me like you have. Every time you speak to me, look at me, touch me I can feel what you feel flow from you' Kate feels a slight flush run to her cheeks. 'I can say that I do feel strongly for you but with my job and everything I can't-don't have time for a relationship right now' 'I'm not bothered. We can see how it works out for now. I don't care if you have to keep having to travel back to the main land for a few days as long as I can call you my own' Kate flicks some stray hairs from her face. Lise feels her stomach tighten, and butterflies seem to have just rented her stomach. She swallows as her face softens 'I'd like that' she gives a small smile 'I'd like that a lot' unlike Lise Kate's smile can't stay hidden. It spreads across her face like a contagious bug of some kind and stays there for the rest of lunch.
